About

Leah Erben graduated from Grand Valley in 2021 with a B.A. in Writing; they minored in advertising and public relations as well as digital studies. As a GVSU student, Leah worked in the Promotions Office as a writer and later as the editorial project manager. Through working for the Promotions Office, Leah developed a passion for strengthening student involvement on campus and for helping students discover and grow their own passions. Leah also spent their college career as president of Grand Valley's improv comedy team, Subject to Change. They devoted their time to leading rehearsals, planning events, and working to strengthen the organization's presence on campus. Since then, Leah has worked as a marketing professional for various Grand Rapids comedy organizations as well as a freelance copywriter for local small businesses.

In their free time, Leah pursues their love of comedy through comedy writing, improv, and stand-up performance. They also love creative writing, eating cheese, being very tall (6’3”), and spending quality time with their cats, Howie and Goose.
