Office of Student Life Alumni Meet to Share how Working for Grand Valley Impacted Their Lives

LeaAnn Tibbe and Bob Stoll, Associate Director and Associate Dean of Student Life respectively, hosted a Digital Dialogues event over Zoom with nearly 30 GVSU Office of Student Life (OSL) alumni from the ‘90s. The purpose of the event was for participants to share Student Life memories and discuss how their OSL experiences have impacted their lives and careers since graduating.

Both Tibbe and Stoll have maintained strong relationships with many past alumni because of the close-knit community Grand Valley fostered even before the widespread use of high-speed digital technology. According to Tibbe, the group was able to bond over shared experiences and how “their involvement here [has changed] the trajectory of their life. That’s our Laker Effect!”
