First Year Mid-Semester Grades

Tips

Mid-semester grades provide students the opportunity to assess academic performance and identify problem areas that need to be addressed before final exams and official grades. The goal is to assess what is working and where you might adjust your strategies and seek help.

Action plan:

  • Meet with faculty and professors in courses that you are not doing as well as you would like in and ask for specific feedback regarding how you are approaching that course. Discuss upcoming assignments, areas of concern, and develop a plan for the remainder of the semester.
  • Utilize the Tutoring Center for additional assistance in courses.
