Academic Coaching sessions are designed to help students improve academic performance and confidence.

We believe it is important for students to have the opportunity to address their specific study skills needs. Any GVSU student can meet with an academic coach individually to discuss a variety of topics including:

  2. Test-taking Strategies
  3. Reading Strategies and Concentration
  4. Note-taking
  5. Study skills
  6. Academic Procrastination and Motivation
  7. Deep-processing Study Techniques
  8. Apps/Technology
  9. Academic Self-advocacy
  10. Effective Resource Utilization
  11. Goal-setting
  12. Overcoming Academic Obstacles
  13. Managing Academic Pressure and Stress
  14. Other campus resources
