Director

D.L. is a Detroit native turned GVSU “Laker for a Lifetime” Grand Rapids resident. With a work history that is everything but orthordox. D.L. boasts a hefty career in laboratory science, leadership, and social justice change. They have earned degrees in Business Administration Economics and a Masters in Public Administration and Health. He serves as support to QTPOC folks as a member of various West Michigan community committees focusing on wellness, homelessness, equity, and social change. D.L. continues to work from a lens of racial and social justice to support individuals and communities in building their capacity to challenge internal and external systems of oppression to create sustainable change. DL loves spending time with their semi-large family, and their favorite thing to do is ride their recumbent trike. Feel free to wave if you see him slowly stroll by!

D. is dreaming of a better world where collective liberation is realized. A GVSU alum, and former student worker at the Rainbow Resource Center, they are thrilled to be joining a dynamic team of thinkers, creatives, and fierce advocates. With a desire to amplify the voices of the marginalized, and dedication of translating theory into practice, they look forward to supporting the LGBTQIA+ community at GVSU, and all people seeking to live out their truths. They hope you know you matter.

Joey is passionate about creating an equitable society for all LGBTQIA+ people. She has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a minor in Sociology from Calvin University. Joey's career experience has been in Refugee and Immigrant Services, where she worked as a volunteer coordinator connecting community members with refugee youth as mentors and tutors. In her free time, you can catch Joey reading, gardening, or walking/cooking with her wife.

Originally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Liv moved to Grand Rapids in 2020 after graduating with a bachelor’s in art history and psychology. They currently work at the intersection of liberatory harm reduction and integrated healthcare, providing support for people living with HIV (PLWH), people who use drugs (PWUD), and aging adults experiencing cognitive changes. Driven by a fierce commitment to justice, Olivia is pursuing licensure to become a clinical social worker dedicated to abolitionist and anti-carceral frameworks. Her long-term goal is to serve as an accomplice in the radical transformation of our world by anchoring into community-based solutions that build new systems of care outside oppressive and exploitative societal structures. In their free time, Liv enjoys being goofy with friends, swimming in Lake Superior, and lounging at home with their partner and two very cute cats.

Annah is a senior studying Marketing and Communication. A lover of creativity and the Arts, when she's not working you can see her in the PAC or exploring downtown Grand Rapids. (Ask about her latest thrift find.) After graduation she will pursue a Master's degree in Nonprofit Administration at the University of Notre Dame. She cares deeply about equitable accessibility and dreams to work for organizations that support their communities.

Charlee is a junior studying elementary education and special education. Their friends, their plants, and the reciprocity of learning with children is near and dear to their heart. Their ideal day would consist of getting lost in the woods, collecting little trinkets, trying new foods, and crafting! Charlee also co-facilitates General Queer Alliance (GQA), and loves hanging out with all of their friends there! They love learning about the world around them and making meaningful connections in their community. When not in the Rainbow Resource Center you may be able to find them in the Memorial Garden or wandering somewhere on campus during their busy days. Feel free to stop them and say hi!

Darcy is in faer third year at GVSU as a Philosophy/Political Science dual-major, and is excited to be a front desk assistant at the Rainbow Resource Center. In their free time, Darcy enjoys singing, writing poetry, and being silly! Fae loves yapping with new people and making friends, so be sure to say hi!

Levi is a returning student at GVSU, front desk assistant at the RRC, and one of the facilitators for Ace of Clubs. He is majoring in psychology with a minor in applied statistics. He enjoys activism, research, and spending time with wildlife, particularly bird and bug-watching. (Ask him about the leopard slugs on campus).

Marshall is a third year studying Political Science. He's interested in pursuing a MSW after completing his bachelor's. On or off the clock, you're likely to see him in the center all throughout the week. He is a front desk worker and one of the current T2 facilitators

Emily is a sophomore Business major at Grand Valley and one of the co-facilitators for Bi-Furious. She is passionate about building welcoming, affirming spaces for all students and helping foster genuine connection and community. Emily is a member of the GVSU Women’s Wrestling team. Outside of academics and athletics, she loves crafting, lifting, cooking and, of course, eating. She is excited to be part of the Rainbow Resource Center community and looks forward to meeting new people throughout the year.

Maverick

Maverick is a senior studying biomedical science and neuroscience. After graduation they plan to attend GV's second degree nursing program and move back home to work as a nurse there. In their free time Maverick likes to crochet, hike, and do puzzles. They want to get pet rats and live in a log cabin when they grow up.

Max is a fourth year student majoring in studio art with an emphasis in graphic design. In Max's free time he likes playing games, spending time with friends, and sketching. He is a co-facilitator for NeuroQueers.

Natalie is a facilitator of T2. She is a third-year student majoring in Studio Art with a Graphic Design emphasis. Outside of academics, she likes to play video games, listen to music, build Lego sets, and go antiquing/thrifting.

Oscar is a third-year student who is majoring in Writing and with a double minor in Theatre and History. He is the co-facilitator of FQA. Outside of class, Oscar enjoys playing DnD, writing poetry, working in Scene Shop in the PAC, and attending GVSU's Renaissance Faire club. After graduation, Oscar hopes to get his masters in Museum Sciences and then a doctorate in History.

Seaniell is a first year fisheries and aquatic science major. She co-facilitates Colors of Pride for the RRC. Seaniell loves exploring (non haunted areas) and bonding with local nature. She plays video games in her free time and is always looking for new friends. Seaniell is really big into conservation and after graduation hopes to get her masters in marine biology.

Tabby is a returning student at GVSU majoring in statistics and getting a minor in psychology with the goal of going into research! They are also the co facilitator for Neuroqueers! In their free time, they very much enjoy activism, reading, D&D, and being outdoors! And would love to have new friends to engage in these hobbies with them :)
