Queer & Trans Meet-up
Summer Only
Wednesdays at 5 PM in the Rainbow Resource Center (1161 Kirkhof)
The Rainbow Resource Center is committed to creating communal spaces for our LGBTQIA+ students throughout the year. Queer and Trans (Q&T) Meet-up will be a summer social hour every Wednesday in our center from 5-6pm. Facilitated by fellow students, this time will be dedicated to fun, conversation, and cultivating queer joy! Activities will vary from crafting to gaming to movie watching. And there will frequently be opportunities for chatting and discussion. Gather with new and old friends this summer! May 13 - August 19.
Q&T Meet-up Facilitators!
Charlee
(they/them)
Charlee is in their fourth year of studying elementary and special education. They love learning about the world around them and making meaningful connections in their communities. Beware! They will go on and on about their special interests if you give them the chance (their time abroad, critters, trees, Bad Bunny, etc.). When the weather is nice, you can probably catch them out laying in the grass, listening to birds!
Andrew
(they/them)
Andrew is an Anthropology and Spanish major going into their fourth and final year at Grand Valley. They're hoping to work in the nonprofit sector after graduation. They love rock climbing and people, and you can often find them at the rock wall or right here in the RRC. They also enjoy exploring new things and ideas, and are happy to listen to you talk about your interests!
Emily
(she/her)
Emily will be a junior Business major at Grand Valley and is one of the co-facilitators for Bi-Furious. She is passionate about building welcoming, affirming spaces for all students and helping foster genuine connection and community. Emily is a member of the GVSU Women’s Wrestling team. Outside of academics and athletics, she loves crafting, lifting, cooking and, of course, eating.
