Student Scholars Day Poster Competition
This year, we are excited to introduce the inaugural SSD Poster Competition. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to further showcase your research and share your accomplishments with the campus community.
What is a Poster Competition?
The SSD Poster Competition is a new addition to Student Scholars Day that provides an opportunity for students to present their research in a clear, engaging visual format while discussing their work with judges and attendees. Posters will be evaluated using a scoring rubric that considers clarity of content, visual organization and design, and the presenter’s ability to effectively explain the project and respond to questions. If you plan to participate, we encourage you to review the Scoring Rubric as you prepare your poster. This competition offers a valuable opportunity to strengthen your written and oral communication skills, refine your poster design, and gain experience presenting your research in a professional setting.
What to Expect?
During your poster presentation time judges will stop by, introduce themselves, and review your presentation for the following criteria:
1) Communication of Complex Ideas
2) Scholarly Context and Significance
3) Accessibility, Appearance and Organization
4) Tone and Style of Delivery.
