Poster Print Requests

The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarship provides poster printing support for faculty and students. Whether it is on-campus dissemination or a national conference the plotter can print a large poster in various sizes. Please see below for details on how to make a request, instructions and tips, and poster tube rental.

Faculty Poster Print Requests

Faculty teaching a Research-Intensive course or a course that requires a presentation at SSD can request to have posters printed.

Please send an email with your students' poster file attached to [email protected]. We require a five-day turnaround time for print requests. Once we have completed the print, we will email the faculty so that they can let their students know to pick up their poster from our office.

Student Poster Print Request

Students affiliated with OURS programs (ACF, S3, MS3, Kindschi Fellowship, Alayont Fellowship, Library Summer Scholar, etc.) can request to have their poster printed. A poster print request requires a five-day turnaround time. On the print request form students will upload their poster file, and select a date and a 15-minute interval to pick up their poster. Once we have completed the print, we will send the student an email confirming the print. Students can pick up their poster from our office. Please also email the final PowerPoint version of the poster to [email protected]

Printing Instructions and Tips

  • The poster file MUST be in PDF format with the correct size. We cannot resize the poster for the student.
  • A standard poster size is 36in x 48in.
  • Make sure the DPI setting is high enough that it doesn't negatively affect the print quality.
  • Avoid solid color backgrounds. Gradations are ok.

Poster Tube Rentals

Faculty and students can check out a poster tube to help transport a large poster. Visit the office at the Mary Idema Pew Libary in LIB 230 to check out a poster tube. A Grand Valley ID is required at check out.
