Kaisha Brezina

Student Services Coordinator

Kaisha Brezina earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan in 2017 and 2024, respectively. She previously served as a Global Opportunities Coordinator, Interim Advisor, and Assistant across several departments at the University of Michigan. In these roles, she focused on student advising, systems thinking, capacity building, and programmatic and administrative management, working closely with students and faculty. Kaisha has also worked as an English teacher overseas, where she connected students with diverse educational opportunities.

Kaisha recently returned to Muskegon County and is excited to support students in their pathways to being a Laker.

Mike Eichberger joined the OMNi division as the Director of Prior Learning in August 2025.  He earned both his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Master of Public Administration degree at Grand Valley in 2002 and 2007 respectively.

Prior to serving in this role, Mike worked in the Office of the Provost as the School Partnership Specialist. Mike has also worked in the Office of Admissions & Recruitment at GVSU for 21 years.  In that position, he helped coordinate First-Year Orientation, High School Dual Enrollment, and Telecounseling.  His portfolio included the recruitment of first-year, transfer, and adult learners.  During his Admissions career, Mike was responsible for recruiting throughout the central part of Michigan up through the Upper Peninsula.  He is very passionate about connecting with students and sharing with them the value of higher education.

Mike supervises the GVSU Muskegon Center and he is excited to create connections with GVSU alumni, transfer, and prospective learners throughout Muskegon and Newaygo counties.
