Guest Artist Presentation: Dr. Frances Colon "The Artist as Administrator"

Description
Dr. Frances Colon, the 2022 Presidential Leadership Scholar and recipient of the Award for Excellence in Service to Others Sister Isolina Ferre, will meet with our music, theatre, and dance students to talk about her experiences with starting and directing her nonprofit organization The Oboe Mobile Foundation. This presentation is aimed at the fine arts student population. It will create awareness about what it is like to be an artist in the 21st Century and how to "think outside the box" in terms of job opportunities and creation. It will demonstrate students how to prepare to administer a project. It will provide students with an overview of what is needed to develop an idea creatively into a project and how to prepare for this new trend in the fine arts field.
