GVSU Servant Leadership in Music Camp

Description
This day-long camp for high school musicians is designed to provide an introduction to foundational music leadership tools that can help students be successful as section leaders, principal players, chamber musicians, and in their daily lives. It is taught from the perspective that an ensemble rehearsal is about participants’ understanding equally with musical excellence, and that the purpose of the leader is to support and inspire musical peers to find their own inner-artist and achieve everything that the composer intended with their creation.
