Application for Music Program Admission and Scholarship

Students who wish to major or minor in music at GVSU must fill out this application to be scheduled for an audition.
Students interested in music scholarships are advised to audition early. Scholarship consideration concludes at the March audition day.

If you are a Transfer Student who would like to be considered for scholarships, please fill out the Prospective Transfer Student Release Form for Possible Scholarship Consideration.

The deadline to apply is 1 month prior to each audition date. If it is less than one month out from the audition date, please contact Bridgett Vanderhoof ( for space availability or to be put on the waitlist.

We intend to conduct in-person auditions on the scheduled dates if possible.  Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this is subject to change throughout the 2020/2021 academic year.  If government or university leadership determines it is unsafe to gather on your chosen audition date, we will notify you well in advance and schedule a virtual audition.
