The GVSU All State Flute Clinic is a free opportunity for high school flutists, flute teachers, and future high school flutists to spend an afternoon at GVSU covering the materials required for All-State auditions. The clinic will focus on practice techniques for chromatic and major scales, and correct rhythm, proper tempo, technique, and style of the All-State etudes (flute and piccolo). Fundamentals for improving tone quality, breath control and technique are covered, as well as a discussion on audition mindset preparation and approaching sight-reading. Bring your flute and be prepared to work on All-State scales and etudes.
