Tutoring Resources
If you're working through a tough class or just want to stay ahead, tutoring is a smart way to boost your academic game. All students at GVSU have access to free tutoring support through campus-wide services: in-person in allendale, in-person in Grand Rapids (PEW Campus) and online. Additionally, student-athletes have access to evening study tables that have tutoring representatives present.
The Tutoring Center is a free academic support hub focused on helping you succeed—especially in CLAS (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) courses. Whether you need help understanding material, reviewing for a test, or building study habits, trained peer tutors are here to support you.
Why It’s Great for Student-Athletes:
- Flexible & supportive: Drop in or make an appointment around your practice and class schedule.
- Peer-based learning: Work with fellow GVSU students trained to help you succeed.
- Skill-building focus: Tutors won’t just give answers — they’ll help you become a more confident, independent learner.
- Inclusive and welcoming: Every student is valued, respected, and supported.
