A brick building labeled "Copeland Living Center" has a tree casting shadows on its facade. Three people stand outside the entrance, engaged in conversation.

Copeland Living Center is an all-traditional-style co-ed living center for first-year students. This building provides the traditional, or "true" college experience. The Copeland Living Center fosters a sense of community and residents quickly form relationships with each other. It’s common to see room doors propped open, hear music playing, residents chatting across the hall, and hanging out or studying in the lounges. Although this building has community-style bathrooms, we offer private shower rooms that have a toilet, shower, and sink. This building is located in the North Campus Neighborhood near Kleiner Commons, the tutoring center, Fresh Food Co., Fuel, and Mackinac Hall, where most freshmen have classes. You may hear about Copeland as being a part of the PiCoDePew or PPDC community which includes four Living Centers - Pickard, Copeland, DeVos, and Pew. Traditional-style Living Centers encourage residents to build community by connecting with their floormates, attending programming events, and other events on campus.
