A Little Bit About
GVSU Ski and Snowboard Club
If you’re into skiing or snowboarding, this is the club for you! We’re a laid-back group of shredders who love spending time on the mountain and hanging out with a great group of people. Our season kicks off with the start of the winter semester (January) and wraps up by the end of February. We travel for four weekends to Otsego Resort in Gaylord, MI, staying in group cabins that sleep 16+, and finish it all off with a fifth and final trip to Marquette Mountain, where we roll up on a charter bus and stay in a hotel for the weekend. We compete in USCSA (United States Collegiate Snowsports Association) races on Saturdays and Sundays, but don’t stress because NO racing experience is required to be part of the club (and just so you know, we don’t hold practices). Once we’re done with racing in the morning, it's all about free riding and making the most of the weekend with the team. Just a heads-up: personal ski or snowboard gear is required. If you're down to join or want more info, come find us at our table during Campus Life Night on August 24th at 6pm. Spots fill up fast, so you can also hit us up early via email if you're interested.
