Grace Nieboer, HTM Major, is Putting Theory into Practice by Hosting Her Own Event

Grace Nieboer, GVSU Hospitality & Tourism Management student, always dreamed of being an event planner! So much so that she is putting her dream into practice and is planning a party to celebrate the end of finals and to give fellow students an opportunity to meet new people, which is why she themed the event, "Strangers Till Midnight". “I really hope that people really do ask deep questions and make a lifetime friend at this party. That would be really cool,” Nieboer said.
What makes this event so unique is that Nieboer gathered $6,000 of her own money, reserved a room at The High Five GR, found a DJ, a photographer, and a caterer to make this party extra special for her guests!
