Special Guest on the Hospitality Today Live with Deborah Gardner during GMID22

Dr. Lorie Tuma was recently interviewed on the special edition of Hospitality Today Live with Deborah Gardner during GMID22! Global Meetings Industry Day is held each April to recognize the industry and the individuals who are a part of this vibrant community.
Dr. Tuma, an assistant professor in GVSU Hospitality & Tourism Management, has tremendous knowledge and experience both national and international in the hospitality and tourism industry that she is able to bring to the classroom and share with her students. She teaches international tourism, tourism policy, and advanced special event programming.
During the interview, she shared what the future looks like for our students wanting a career in hospitality, what the Beyond Hands On initiative means to our industry, and her research that focuses on meeting and event industry trends, skillset, and training development needs.
