Toast began as "Toast with T-Haas" with a few dozen attendees and eventually grew to attract over 1000 graduates in the Spring of 2019. In 2023, Toast returned as a celebratory alumni welcome event to celebrate new graduates!

Yes. All attendees must bring a GVSU student ID and state-issued ID in order to receive champagne.

If you don't have a student ID, we encourage you to get one prior to Toast. Having your student ID will streamline the check-in process. How to get a GVSU student ID

If you attend Toast without a student ID, we will check you in with your G-number.

If you don't have a state-issued ID or passport, you can still attend Toast, but you won't be able to receive a glass of champagne.
