Thomas Rancour recently retired now from the VA and now has a farm outside of Grayling, Michigan. Rancour was a Mental Health Therapist with the VA after earning MSW in 1996 from GVSU. Rancour wrote a children's book titled, "Legend of the Hartwick Pines". The book is about why the Arctic Grayling went extinct in Michigan and includes a little story he created for his daughters when they were little. He is now trying to get the book into the migrayling.org initiative the state is undertaking to reintroduce these cool historic Native fish.
