Lindsey Rodarmer, '03 and '06, and Ryan Rodarmer, '03, married on September 6, 2008. The married couple met while Lindsey was a TV Reporter at FOX 17 in Grand Rapids while also finishing up grad school at GVSU. The pair were so excited to get married and knew they needed a Laker wedding, so they planned a reception at the Alumni House. Lindsey was marrying both Ryan and inheriting a stepson - he had now 20 yo Braiden while he was completing a double major in Biology and Chemistry at GVSU in 2003. Looking back, the couple thought it was so crazy that they lived in close dorms and had mutual friends, yet never met until after their undergrad graduation. Still, Lindsey expresses they are Lakers for Life and their wedding reception was absolutely beautiful. On their wedding day, the newlyweds left the ceremony at their home church to take photos in the courtyard of the downtown GVSU campus with their wedding party. Then, they stopped at a football game to tailgate with some students. One of their single groomsmen even tried to get someone to be his date, but they wanted to see the game instead. After the tailgating, the couple headed to the Alumni House for the reception, it was a perfect September Day. Since then, Lindsey and Ryan have had another daughter, Mia Ray in 2012, and Ryan has survived 3 major Heart Surgeries. "My heart hero is so incredible" writes Lindsey. The pair still shows their support at GVSU Alumni Champions and Lindsey teaches adjunct. They both agree their strong bond formed thanks to GVSU!
