Karen Fonkert, M.Ed.,'02, received a promotion to full Professor of Mathematics Education at Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC. She prepares pre-service teachers to teach K-12 mathematics using innovative teaching strategies. She was previously a visiting instructor at GVSU.
