As a GVSU alum and Master's graduate in Data Science & Analytics, I wanted to share a project I've been building in my free time using the skills I developed during my graduate studies. During my own job search, I found myself checking the same company career pages every day, hoping I hadn't missed a new opening. So I started building a simple tool to solve that problem. That project grew into RoleWatcher (rolewatcher.com), a free site that brings together tech-related jobs from 100+ companies across Michigan, along with U.S. remote roles open to Michigan residents. New jobs are added daily, and you don't need an account to browse. My goal is to give Michigan job seekers a centralized view of tech opportunities, so they spend less time searching individual company websites and more time applying.
