I finally landed my dream job with the University of Notre Dame as the Event Coordinator for the Notre Dame Alumni Association! I was brought to South Bend through my husband's opportunity to pursue his PhD at ND, so I naturally started looking on campus for job openings. I started out as the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager for the restaurants at the Morris Inn, the 4-Diamond hotel on campus. After a couple of months at that job, I decided it wasn't were I wanted to be, so I began casually looking around campus for new positions. The Event Coordinator position came about one day and I jumped on it! After a long month of interviews and meetings, I finally was offered the position and I took it. I will be leading 4 main events for the Alumni Association annually. Football Fridays, Alumni Reunion Weekend, the Alumni Association Leadership Conference, and Winter Sports Weekend. I am looking forward to putting my stamp on the community of Notre Dame and being a part of the bigger picture. I am excited to use my education from the HTM program at GVSU, and to represent GVSU on campus!
