R Programming is the use of the R language for statistical computing and graphics, enabling data analysis, visualization, and statistical modeling.
Grand Valley's R Programming badge program teaches students basic and intermediate R programming skills, enabling them to write R code for data summarization and statistical modeling. This face-to-face program is open to both degree and non-degree-seeking students, providing flexibility and accessibility.
The coursework covers statistical concepts, data management, and the use of R functions and packages for data analysis. These topics equip students with essential skills for automating data analysis and conducting statistical simulations.
This badge documents valuable skills and competencies in data science, enhancing one's resume with recognized credentials. The badge can be completed in a year, providing a competitive edge in the fields of statistical programming, business analytics, and data science.
A badge is a digital record of achievement that recognizes completion of a coherent and meaningful academic experience. You can link your digital badges to online résumés and portfolios, career websites, or social media. This gives you a way to share experiences, competencies, or knowledge with current and future employers, professional and community organizations, recruiters, and graduate programs.
Admissions to complete a digital badge is open to both degree and nondegree seeking students. If you are not currently a Grand Valley student, start your application here.
