This program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to minimize the environmental impact of events and promote sustainable practices within the event industry. A key component of this program is working and planning actual events, offering students firsthand experience in the field.
Coursework covers essential topics like environmental and sustainability studies, principles of sustainability, meeting management, and event management. Students also gain practical experience through field preparation and field experience courses. Electives like sport facility management, hospitality facilities management, or geotourism allow you to tailor the curriculum to your unique interests and goals.
You will apply diverse perspectives to event operations and understand the role of sustainability in event planning. The emphasis on practical experience through internships and fieldwork, specializing in sustainability, creates stackable credentials to enhance your degree, skill set, and perspective.
