Laker Vets at Grand Valley is one of over 1,400 Student Veteran of America chapters from around the nation. Our chapter is here to support student veterans, military, and dependants in their success on campus and in the classroom. We are an inclusive organization, and as such we welcome anybody wanting to make a positive difference for our community!  You do not have to be a veteran to be a member.

Laker Vets attends NatCon each year in January. NatCon is an event where military-affiliated students come from around the country to hear inspiring speakers, meet higher education professionals, and leading employers. 

GVSU takes every opportunity to support our military-affiliated community. There are many events annually, such as the Veterans Day Breakfast and Waddle of Honor Graduation Ceremony, where we come together to honor your accomplishments. 

There are a lot of events throughout the year. From tubing to fundraising, there are plenty of opportunities to meet and build connections with other military-affiliated students in Laker Vets!
