GVSU Blue Letters on campus

GVSU’s University Communications team launched the University Communicator Network in January 2024 to share resources, solidify brand messages and offer a professional development network to GVSU’s communicators.

Meetings are held in-person and virtually. A monthly newsletter and Zoom chat channel (#UCN) keep UCN members connected.

Want to join UCN? Connect with Michele Coffill at [email protected].

Are you a communicator?

Grand Valley communicators are faculty and staff who, for example:

  • Write content for newsletters
  • Maintain, write content for websites
  • Manage social media channels
  • Plan events
  • Manage projects
  • Strategize how best to recruit students and reach university audiences

Everyone who wants to tell the GVSU story is welcome!

Submit content for university publications

An important aspect of this network is opening the door for communicators to submit content from their areas for a publication produced by University Communications.

Here are examples of stories communicators have written for GVNext, GVSU's news website, and Forum, the faculty/staff newsletter.

Please connect with Michele Coffill, [email protected], if you have a story idea for Forum, and Peg West, [email protected], for GVNext.
