Welcome to the Thompson & Charter Scholars Leadership Series!

You’re invited to join us for Session 4: Leadership in Action — one in a six-part series designed to help you explore your unique leadership style, values, and impact. This session will include interactive activities, meaningful conversation, and a chance to connect with fellow scholars. Whether you’re new to leadership or looking to grow, this is a great place to start.

About the Series:

Each session builds on the last, but also stands alone — come to one or come to all! Scholars who attend all 6 (with up to 2 virtual/asynchronous makeups, if needed) will earn a Digital Badge and Transcript Designation,

Here’s what’s coming up:

Friday, February 20, 2026, Time TBD, Kirkhof Center
Session 5: GVSU Leadership Summit – Attend the annual GVSU Leadership Summit to learn from other campus and community leaders as you develop and refine what leadership means to you.

Friday, March 20, 2026, 1-3 pm
Session 6: Leadership Philosophy & Reflection – Develop your Leadership Philosophy and prepare for the Day of Service and reflect on your growth as a leader.

All sessions will be held in the Mary Idema Pew Library (MIPL) Multipurpose Room (LIB 030).

All events will be held in the Mary Idema Pew Library Multipurpose Room (LIB 030).

Registration for these events will open at the workshop before each event. For example, registration for Session 2 will first open at Session 1. After that session, the registration form will then be posted on the TCS Leadership page and will be shared out in the following monthly newsletters. 

Please note: Students who attend all 6 sessions will be given a Leadership Badge on LakerLink to celebrate their accomplishment. Virtual make-up forms will be shared for those who miss a session or must leave a session early. Only 2 make-up forms are allowed for full completion of the Leadership Badge.
