Samantha Harris's Experience

Name: Samantha Harris
Major: Criminal Justice
Program: Edge Hill University
Traveled Abroad Before: No

Q: What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of your study abroad experience?
A: Adventure. Between food, traveling and classes everyday was an adventure.

Q: Why did you choose this destination?
A: I wanted to go someplace that English was the main language. Ormskirk was a great location for traveling to because you are a 30 minute taxi ride from Manchester and Liverpool airports.

Q: What are some things that surprised you about the campus, the classes, the culture, customs or traditions?
A: When I went shopping, there were some places that I had to pay for the bag. You have to go to lecture and a seminar for each of your classes. Grades are only based on 1-2 papers. They party and drink every night, not just on the weekends because there is a bar on campus.

Q: What advice would you offer?
A: Just go and experience everything you can! Study Abroad is an amazing experience.
