Established in 1972, COST is a collaboration of 15 colleges and universities in the United States that provides opportunities for its students to have quality student teaching experiences in overseas settings. Grand Valley State University currently serves as headquarters and coordinates international placements.

Pädagogische Hochschule Schwäbisch Gmünd is a university focused on teacher training in Germany. Students can participate in a number of collaborative programs such as: faculty-led summer program, semester exchange, and a 6-week school placement. K-12 Placements are arranged in English-speaking classrooms in Germany.
