Studying abroad was one of the most life-changing experiences I have ever had. I did know a fair amount of Spanish before I went, took it all throughout high school, but it wasn't until I was in that environment and speaking the language every day, that I really learned Spanish and most importantly felt confident, and now I use it at my job when I serve people who speak Spanish as a first language. Not only did I learn a lot of Spanish, but I also learned so much about cultural differences! I did so much traveling to other parts of Chile and I didn't realize it was such a unique place. I highly recommend it to anybody who is thinking about it!! Don't miss your chance!
