Kaitlyn Richardson is a junior majoring in secondary English education and minoring in applied linguistics. She currently serves as the president of STAGE, Grand Valley's only student-run theatre organization.
STAGE is dedicated to helping students develop their skills in all facets of theatre, including acting, writing, tech, and producing. Kaitlyn signed up for STAGE at Campus Life Night and auditioned for her first show. Although her major isn't theatre, she still wanted to find a way to continue her theater involvement in college. Having transitioned from vice president to president has allowed her "help teach and improve other’s skills as well as my own". She loves being part of a group of students who can bond over their love of theatre without worrying about ability. "We are open to anybody and everybody regardless of skills and experience and we truly are a family," she says..
