Georgina Findlay is a senior at Grand Valley and an exercise science major. She has been a part of Alpha Omicron Pi since her first year. Going into GVSU, Georgie wasn’t sure about joining any organizations. However, since her sister was also an Alpha Omicron Pi sister, she saw herself fitting right in.
After recruitment in fall of 2019, Georgie was amazed at all of the opportunities for leadership and service. Alpha Omicron Pi does philanthropy with IKUS Life Enrichment Services. As the president, Georgie has put together multiple fundraising events with her sisters, like a spaghetti dinner that raised enough money to install a lift chair in their pool.
Georgie thinks that the Greek Life community has pushed her to be successful. “I feel like AOΠ in general has made me more confident in myself. As a freshman I would never see myself running for president,” Georgie says.
