Collin Soltis is a dedicated Laker involved in the Laker Traditions Team (now replaced by CAB) and Young Life. The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is a student organization that allows students to help plan popular events that happen on campus, while Young Life is an enriching Christian organization that helps students strengthen their faith through weekly meetings and events. His involvement in Student Life has helped him meet people, develop his passions, and strengthen his leadership skills.
“Getting involved has made me make friendships,” Collin says. “Getting involved [first year] has made this an experience I will remember forever.”
Through the various leadership positions Collin has held through his involvement, he has learned many lessons that will help him be a strong leader even after he graduates: “Being a leader is being active in the community and giving back. Doing it quietly, not wanting people to recognize you or needing people to praise you, but doing it just because you care and want to give back.”
