Duties of Volunteer
Volunteers will receive great experience with client contact. They will be responsible for providing installation of smoke and carbon monoxide alarms in primarily low-income homes in Grand Rapids, Wyoming, and Kentwood. They will also provide educational materials to families about fire and carbon monoxide safety. All proper training will be provided to the volunteer.

Details of special training
Volunteers will be trained on how to conduct home visits. This will include proper installation of alarms, how to engage with family members, and how to properly conduct educational component of home visits.
Details of special skills
Spanish-speaking capabilities are a welcome asset but not required.
No previous experience with a drill and/or tools is required but is also welcome. Volunteer will be instructed on this if they have no previous experience.
