Science Track: Brent Nowak, Grand Valley State University, Engineering: “Water: Ubiquitous yet fragile"

Surrounded by the Great Lakes, we can’t imagine life without water.  It’s everywhere and in every form; mists rising from cooling lakes, rain falling, snow dusting our landscape, and ice freezing across the lake.  As we know, there wouldn’t be life as we know it without water.  This presentation will tour our solar system, Milky Way Galaxy, and Universe to highlight a few not so obvious planetary bodies that hold unbelievable amounts of water.  The presentation will bring us home to discuss the fragility Earth’s global water supply and a vision for the future.
