Wellness is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of
achieving full potential. How do you actively pursue your wellness?
I always make time for myself each day to do something that makes me feel good. Whether that's going for a walk, reading a chapter of a book, trying a new recipe... just something that isn't "work".
What do you do to take care of yourself when you are feeling
stressed or overwhelmed?
While I still haven't been able to calm my mind enough to sit through a meditation; yoga has been a great way for me to practice mindfulness while also improving my strength and mobility. Even a short practice leaves me feeling calmer and a lot more relaxed.
What motivates you to be well and stay healthy?
As I really struggled as a freshman with my health/wellness, I know what it feels like when I don't make the time to take care of myself. Knowing how much better I am physically and mentally now gives me the motivation to keep at it!
