Summer Student Success Program (S3P)
The OWS Summer Student Success Program (S3P) is an intensive six-week initiative aimed at helping students transition smoothly from high school to college. It equips participants with essential knowledge, skills, and strategies for academic and personal success. The program features college-level coursework, educational workshops, and co-curricular activities that promote a strong sense of community by fostering meaningful connections with faculty, staff, and peers. In addition to building a solid foundation for college life, students will earn 7–8 academic credits, receive personalized advising and registration support, and get early access to their Fall housing assignment.

Faculty Lead Position
Are you passionate about student success and equity in education? The OWS Summer Bridge Program is seeking a dedicated faculty member to serve as Faculty Lead for our transformative seven-week residential experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to mentor incoming students with GPAs of 2.0–2.79 as they transition from high school to college, helping them build a strong academic foundation and sense of belonging at GVSU.
As Faculty Lead, you’ll collaborate with campus partners, support and onboard summer faculty, guide academic planning, and play a key role in shaping the student experience. This is a rewarding leadership opportunity for faculty who are committed to inclusive excellence and student development.
