Undergraduate research and creative projects are possible because of the GV’s faculty’s commitment and investment in mentoring students. Faculty mentors provide opportunities for undergraduate students to learn the craft through engagement and guidance in co-curricular and curricular research and creative practice. The active engagement of students in research and scholarly practice provides opportunities for students to hone their research skills, explore scholarly questions, and facilitate positive outcomes such as academic retention, graduation, and graduate / professional school pathways. 

OURS provides direct support to faculty mentors through travel grants, undergraduate research assistants, and capacity-building grants.
