The Valley Campus Knowledge Market is located on the first floor of the Mary Idema Pew Library, directly across from the service desk. Consultants are available to help with research, writing, presentations, and digital projects. A receptionist sits under the post and beam to greet you and help you check in for your appointment or join the drop-in queue. When your consultant is ready to begin, they will introduce themselves and take you to a table for your consultation. Presentation practice rooms and a podcast booth are also available.

The Fred Meijer Center for Writing and Michigan Authors is located in 120 Lake Ontario Hall. Consultants are here to assist you with any writing project, at any stage of your writing process. The center's well-trained peer consultants can help you brainstorm ideas, organize content, integrate research, polish a draft, and correctly document sources. Any graduate or undergraduate GVSU student can make an appointment or drop-in during any of our open hours.

The Tutoring and Reading Center is located in 112 Henry Hall. Current GVSU students can schedule a 50-minute appointment with one of our peer tutors for a variety of 100, 200, and select 300-level courses! You can schedule ahead, or drop by for a Just in Time Appointment when available. Work with one of our peer tutors for an in-depth review of course materials, a study session, a small group content review, or practice; you set the agenda for the session. Schedule once, as needed, or on a recurring weekly basis - whatever works best for you!

We use Google Meet, which is a video chat platform in the Google Suite. This is a free service to you as a Grand Valley student; just be sure to use your student Gmail account. The features available include:

To have a virtual consultation, make an appointment or join the drop-in queue using Book It. Refresh the My Appointments page periodically so you'll see the "Enter Appointment" button pop up when your consultant is ready to begin. That button will take you to a Google Meet room for your consultation.
