The Information Technology Division established a "Minimum Computer Standards" supported list to improve your computing experience. By picking a machine on the supported list you'll be getting a machine that works on the GVSU network, is fully supported by IT, and is equipped with the best security practices and ability to update security software when needed. We also have a team of hardware technicians who are certified to work on our standard line-up.
Research and specialized machines are available. Please submit a quote request in the IT Service Portal providing details on the specs you are looking for.

Final deadline to submit Tech Acquisition quote orders
Internal Service Deliveries for Technology Acquisition quote orders must be submitted and approved by your cost center manager no later than 12:00 p.m.(noon) on Monday, June 9, 2025. If the items ordered have not arrived to campus by June 30th, the ISD will be moved and billed in the next fiscal year.

Internal Service Deliveries for Technology Acquisition catalog/stock orders must be submitted and approved by your cost center manager no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, June 23, 2025. Any catalog/stock items ordered before Monday, June 23 at noon will be billed to the current 2024-2025 fiscal year.
