Authorized university employees whose job responsibilities require a mobile device for official university business may be eligible for a university-provided cell phone. All cell phone purchases must be approved by the respective Vice President or Appointing Officer. 

If you need a university-issued cell phone, or have one and need to request an upgrade, deactivate/suspend service, unsuspend service, add international plan, release phone number, or port phone number, please complete the Cellular Service Request ticket in the IT Service Portal. 

• Reimbursement is not allowed for mobile device app purchases. Costs associated with mobile device apps are the responsibility of the individual/end user.
• IT does not provide MiFi (Mobile hotspots) for check out.
• If the department would like to purchase a mobile hotspot, Vice President approval is needed to be added to the current Verizon account. Place an IT Services ticket along with VP approval in the IT Services portal for pricing.
