Graduate Assistantship (GA) Application Steps

There are three (3) steps to the applying for a GA:
1. Apply for admission to the M.A. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration (HESAA) program.
2. Once you have been successfully admitted in the M.A. in HESAA program you will be able to apply for a GA. You need to have a minimum 3.0 GPA to apply for a GA. 
3. You have to apply for GAs on Workday

GAs work 10-20 hours per week during the academic year. Details about the work requirements are available in the position description. 
Award Process
All decisions to offer GAs are made by staff in the host department.
Stipend 
The stipend for GAs varies depending on the position, the department in which the position is offered, and the length of time the position lasts.
