Ferry Elementary & Voyager School
Students will observe a local body of water at East End Park. After investigation and working with field experts, students will identify areas of improvement related to but not limited to water quality, runoff, pollution, trash, invasive species, and other areas that have a negative impact on our watershed and environment. Students will design a project to educate the community about the area of concern and offer solutions.
Fostering Lifelong Stewardship:
We hope the students will be more aware of the factors that negatively impact the Grand River watershed, especially the area that comprises East End Park and the adjacent water. We also hope the students will build on the knowledge they gain through their projects to become better promoters of actions that will improve the water quality.
