Wages for student employees will increase twice early next year, resulting from the university's decision to raise student salaries and Michigan's minimum wage law.
Starting January 1, GVSU’s minimum student wage will increase to $12 per hour. On February 21, it will increase again to $12.48 per hour.
General fund budget allocations will be adjusted by March 31 to reflect these increases.
The Student Employment Office created a FAQ website that includes a wage chart.
