Johnson Center launches program to connect faculty, nonprofits

GVSU faculty can partner to assist area nonprofit organizations through a new program from the Johnson Center.

The Dorothy A. Johnson Center for Philanthropy is launching a new program to foster problem-solving and relationship-building among GVSU faculty and small Michigan-based nonprofit organizations.

The Juan Olivarez Learning Equity Endowment (JOLEE) will support the program, offering honorariums of $1,000 to faculty members for their participation.

An example of such a collaboration would be a marketing faculty member reviewing and providing feedback on a nonprofit’s annual advertising strategy. Other examples and criteria for nonprofits and faculty members are detailed online.

The deadline to apply is November 14. Projects should expect to be completed by June 30, 2026. For questions, contact Tory Martin at [email protected].
