A partnership with the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids allows students, faculty and staff to enroll their children in an evening child care program.
Child care services for children 6 weeks to 5 years old will be provided only at the David D. Hunting location (475 Lake Michigan Dr. NW, Grand Rapids) on Mondays-Thursdays from 5:30-9:30 p.m. GVSU students and employees will pay $35 per evening of care, with a semester-long commitment. They do not have to be YMCA members to participate.
The program began in the fall semester as a Strategic Enrollment Management Plan recommendation to assist student parents who have evening classes.
More information about the program is available on the YMCA website and the Children's Enrichment Center website.
