The Cook-Carillon Tower and the Transformational Link are the two locations on Grand Valley State University’s campus that permit Expressive Activity, this includes:

1. Meetings and other group activities by students and student organizations
2. Speeches, performances, demonstrations, rallies, vigils, and other events by students, student organizations, and outside groups invited by student organizations
3. Distributions of literature (i.e. leaflets and pamphlets)
4. Any other expression protected by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution

• There is no cost for Expressive Activity in our Public Gathering Spaces.
• The Cook-Carillon Tower has three locations for Expressive Activity.
• The Transformational Link has one location for Expressive Activity.
• Space may be reserved by contacting Event Services.
• A reservation will take precedence over a spontaneous Expressive Activity.
• Reservation requests will be processed and granted on a first-come, first-served basis.
• Expressive Activity must adhere to the rules outlined in the Grounds and Facility Usage Policy.

• Expressive Activity must stay within 50 feet of each of these landmarks: Cook-Carillon Tower--the outer edge of the circle of bricks; and the Transformational Link--the inside edge of the octagon of bricks. Maps are provided below for reference.

The Russel H. Kirkhof Center, centrally located on Grand Valley State University's Allendale campus, is a great location to host your event. The Russel H. Kirkhof Center is equipped with two large banquet rooms, multiple conference rooms, as well as built-in audio-visual equipment

The Cook-Dewitt Center Auditorium seats 236 people and could be just the place you’ve been looking for to host your concert, performance, lecture, service, wedding, or other event! There are 12 rows of chairs on each side of the center aisle and a raised stage at the front.

Located in the heart of the GVSU Allendale Campus, the Cook-Dewitt Center is just steps from the Cook Carillon Tower.
