Bikes and Baked Goods Nov. 29

November 24, 2014

Boston Square Community Bikes, a non-profit, people-focused initiative of Oakdale Neighbors in Grand Rapids. This organization is all about bicycle ownership, ridership, and awareness in the surrounding communities.

The guys at Boston Square refurbish bicycles and sell them affordably. They host free, comprehensive workshops, which educate the participants on bike maintenance, the advantages of riding a bike, and how to ride safely. By completing a series of these workshops, participants can (L)earn a bike for free. This opportunity is an especially helpful resource for low-income residents.

Saturday, November 29, 2014, Boston Square will be hosting an event, Bikes & Baked Good for the Holidays. There will be free spiced cider and baked goods; affordably priced bicycles; and free bike lights with any purchase of $40 or more at 1260 Kalamazoo Ave. SE Grand Rapids from 1-5 p.m.
